Dab Hand says: This unusual jigsaw features a montage of signs representing haunted pubs and inns across England. Some ghosts are friendly, such as a resident of “The Volunteer” who switches the cellar lights on when they are needed. Other inns have a macabre history, such as “The Prospect of Whitby” (Wapping, London) which was frequented by the hanging Judge Jeffreys, who would watch his victims in the hanging dock across the river. Many of these return in ghostly form. The jigsaw includes a poster describing the spooky tales of each inn.
