Dab Hand says: This fine art style jigsaw shows an entire wedding party processing through the village. The bride and groom look a little shy (or perhaps it’s a shot gun wedding!) but everyone is on their way to a great celebration. The scene is from “The Village Wedding” by the Liverpool-born Sir Samuel Luke Fildes (1843-1927). Fildes’ work includes illustrations for magazines of the period and he was commissioned by Charles Dickens to illustrate his last novel “Edwin Drood”.
