Dab Hand says: This jigsaw by popular artist Steve Crisp features street musicians and Christmas lights in London’s legendary Carnaby Street in the heart of the West End. Laid out in the 1680s, the street took its name from Karnaby House, the first house built there. The Shakespeare’s Head pub was built in 1735 and was originally owned by distant relatives of William Shakespeare. The Kinks song “Dedicated Follower of Fashion” celebrates the street’s heyday in the Swinging 60s. Carnaby Street shops have also welcomed punks, new romantics and modern street style tribes.
