Dab Hand says: This striking portrait format jigsaw depicts Diarmuid and Gráinne, one of the most famous couples in Irish legend. Diarmuid eloped with the beautiful princess Gráinne, who was the bride-to-be of the great warrier Fionn mac Cumhaill. This jigsaw is part of the Project Kells collection, inspired by the artwork of the medieval Book of Kells and the legends of Ireland’s Celtic heritage and royal past. The box includes an additional puzzle leaflet and the gallery photo shows a detail from this unusual image. The artist is Jim Fitzpatrick.
