Dab Hand says: There were two “Flying Scotman” – famous 15-coach express trains of the 1930’s which left London and Edinburgh at 10am in both directions each day to make the eight-and-a-quarter hour non-stop journey. The restaurant cars were decorated in the style of Louis XIV and included individual armchairs and concealed lighting. The painting is by George Heiron and the jigsaw is No. 3112 in Falcon’s “Vanguard” series.
