Dab Hand says: Gerard Hoffnung was born in Berlin in 1925 and came to London in 1939 as a schoolboy refugee. He was an artist, teacher, musician, broadcaster and raconteur. This puzzle features his much-loved musical cartoons, complete with the dog from “His Master’s Voice” (aka HMV) using his paws to block out the racket! This unusual jigsaw dates from 1991 but the pieces are still in good condition. See the gallery photo for a detail from the completed puzzle.
