Dab Hand says: The original Orient Express was inaugurated in June 1883 when it left Paris for Constantinople (now Istanbul). The running time was 81 hours 40 minutes. In its heyday, this magical steam engine service provided a link between different cultures in Europe, while allowing railway passengers time to acclimatise and enjoy magnificent mountain scenery en route. The image is from an original painting by George Heiron. This jigsaw is in quite an old box (from Falcon’s “Venture” series) but it is still in very good condition.
